Intel builds Sandy Bridge with a DRM tollbooth

“Sandy Bridge” is the code name of the most recent line of Intel's Core i series CPUs, which will be demoed in the next week at the CES 2011 show in Las Vegas. Intel, the world leader in silicon innovation has reportedly revealed features details about its new family of laptop and desktop processors, although the release date has not been issued yet. The Sandy Bridge have astonishing features for instance faster speeds, better integrated graphics, lower power consumption and a DRM scheme to protect the content of motion picture studios. Another significant feature of the processor is that it will prevent the people from copying streaming videos as Intel builds a hardware security layer into the processors.

The latest processors will be available in the form of dual- or quad-core chips and it will use Turbo Boost technology. This hi-tech expansion will enabled it to acquired high speed without overheating. The basic function of this technology is to measures the power going into the chip, and as long as that power's under a certain threshold for a predetermined period of time. The Sandy Bridge processors, built around Intel's 32nm micro architecture, apparently offer improved graphics and 3D performance. The employment of the current Core i3, i5 and i7 nomenclature will lower the power consumption. The Sandy Bridge processors have a new 256-bit instruction set, and they support Intel hyper-threading technology.

The latest line of Intel's Core i series CPUs will integrate hardware-level copy protection technologies, called “insider”. This technology will develop a protection layer for the processors and creates a management feature that unlocks high-definition movies downloaded from online streaming services. Digital rights management (DRM) has long been a bone of contention between consumers and content providers, mainly for motion picture studios and recording companies. The idea of copy protection will prevent the illegal download and save the future of recording companies. Intel's Sandy Bridge is an evolutionary improvement in integrated graphics as it also introduced an improvement in its graphics.

Technology is an important part of our life and writing articles about technology is even harder. There are many people out there who want to write but have no platform to do so. In order to a get a blog most of them resort to paid services. As a matter of fact there are many online services where you can get a free blog and start posting your articles there and the best part is that you can make money also.
